C19
What C19 means
C19 is an IEC 60320 appliance connector used for AC power connections. On UPSFit product pages, it may appear as a C19 coupler, a power plug, or as part of an output-connection description.
A C19 connector is generally intended to mate with a C20 appliance inlet. In a UPS, PDU, or related power-distribution product, a C19 listing usually identifies the physical connection type rather than the product’s overall capability.
Why it matters on UPSFit
The connector determines whether a cable or connected device can physically connect to the listed port. It also helps distinguish a product with C19 connections from one using only C13 connections. This can matter when matching a UPS, PDU, power cord, or equipment inlet across a rack or other installation.
Product listings on UPSFit may show C19 alongside C13 couplers, IEC jumpers, terminals, or a stated count of C19 outputs. Read the complete connection description rather than assuming that every product has the same arrangement.
What the label does not tell you
“C19” is a connector identification, not a quality rating or a complete electrical specification. It does not by itself establish:
- The product’s total output capacity
- The current rating available at each connection
- The voltage, phase, or regional plug standard
- The number of C19 connections
- Whether a cable, C20 inlet, or other accessory is included
- Whether the connection is an input, output, or detachable cable end
A product page that says “C19 coupler” confirms the listed connector type, but the observed label may not provide all compatibility or installation details. Check the manufacturer’s full specification where those details are important.
What to check on a product page
Look for the connection’s role and quantity, such as an output-connection entry or a power-plug entry. Then compare it with the equipment or cable you intend to connect. Also check the product’s electrical ratings, connector counts, included accessories, and any separate input or output descriptions.
